What can go in a dumpster?
The rules for our 15-yard dumpster. Loads are dumped and weighed at the Tippecanoe County Transfer Station.
Most household, cleanout, remodel and yard waste is fine. Hazardous materials, liquids, tires and anything with refrigerant are not. A few items are OK if you tell us when you book.
Allowed, by load type
Choose the load type that matches your heaviest material. It sets your price and included weight.
| Load type | Material | Included |

| Light Cleanout | Furniture, boxes, household goods, soft goods | 1 ton |
| Yard Debris | Branches, leaves, brush, mulch (no dirt) | 1.5 tons |
| Renovation Mix | Drywall, flooring, trim, light demo | 2 tons |
| Full Load | Heavy demo, dense mixed materials | 2.5 tons |
| Heavy Material | Concrete, shingles, asphalt, masonry | 3 tons |

Why it matters
If banned items turn up at the transfer station, the extra fees, rejected-load hauling or county fines are charged to the renter, either from the card hold or on a separate invoice. When in doubt, text a photo to (765) 412-3057 before you toss it.
Loading tips
- Put heavy, flat items on the bottom and break down furniture to save space.
- Keep the load level with the top of the walls so it can be tarped for the drive.
- Yard-debris loads must be free of dirt and soil.
