Book before the rush
Around Purdue, leases turn over in waves: when the spring semester ends in May, again in late July and early August, and a smaller wave in December. Every landlord needs a dumpster the same week, and dates go first come, first served. Book as soon as you have the move-out date.

Where do you want it?
What tenants leave behind, and where it goes
- Couches, futons, desks, bed frames, chairs: in the dumpster. Break down what you can to save space.
- Mattresses and box springs: in the dumpster at $15 each. Add them at booking.
- TVs, monitors, computers: allowed if you tell us at booking.
- Mini fridges, refrigerators, window AC units: not allowed (refrigerant). Set them aside for an appliance recycler.
- Paint cans, cleaners, propane tanks, batteries: not allowed. Take them to a household hazardous waste drop-off.
Full list: what can and can't go in.
Turnover tips
- Book the drop-off for the day the tenants hand back keys, and the pickup two days later.
- Walk the unit first and set aside anything that can't go in, so the crew just loads.
- Keep the weight ticket we email after pickup. It documents what was hauled if you bill the cleanout back.
- It's a dumpster on wheels, so it fits the narrow driveways and side yards common near campus.
